  • Although summer seems far, far away (especially after this weekend’s snowstorm here in New England), this is the time of year when I start booking customized international prospect research training sessions for the summer. I currently have openings for two training sessions — one in July and the other in August.

I offer these courses in person (best for teams based in the northeastern United States) and online, and I customize the content and length of each course to meet the specific needs of the team being trained. A course can be a broad introduction to international prospect research skills or a deep dive into resources and strategies for researching prospects in a particular region or country.

If you would like to discuss your team’s international prospect research training needs, I would love to speak with you! The easiest way to start this conversation is to schedule an informational right here.

  • I just posted a new how-to video on my YouTube channel about finding and using real estate price heat maps around the world. These resources can help you quickly visualize where wealth is concentrated when you are just getting started researching prospects outside the United States. This tutorial includes a look at heat maps in India, Mexico, Singapore, and South Korea. It also explains how to find heat maps in other countries and in languages other than English.

Links to the heat maps shown in the video:

How to find heat maps for the area that interests you:

    1. Google “heat map” and the city and or country
    2. Do the same search but in the local language
    3. If “heat map” doesn’t work, try searching for terms like “real estate” or “property” trends
    4. Again, try in English and the local language
  • Over on my YouTube channel, I have a growing collection of how-to videos focused on international research resources. In this video, for example, I show you how to find property assessor records in Montreal. In case you can’t read French, I explain how to navigate the all-French search features. At the end of the video, I show what kinds of information assessor records show in this city.
