About Me

I help charitable organizations identify new opportunities and solve complex challenges through research and a range of consulting services.

Since 2011, I have provided global prospect research services under the name International Fundraising Intelligence LLC (IFI). I changed the name of my consulting firm in 2017 to Beth Bandy Research and Consulting in light of the broader ranger of services I have been providing over the last few years.

My clients include independent schools, colleges and universities, museums, hospitals, global NGOs, and other consulting firms located in North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Australia. I have spoken at conferences and delivered professional development trainings (in person and online) for organizations in the US, Canada, and South Africa. I also have delivered customized online training sessions for multi-national NGO teams.

In addition to my research and consulting work, I also am a founder of the new organization Rural Commonwealth, which is working on strengthening the 170 rural communities in Massachusetts. In May 2016, I was elected to my second term on my town’s Select Board, of which I served as Chair for the last two years. I previously was Chair of a regional school district School Committee.

Earlier in my career, I worked at Harvard University’s Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations, served as Director of Development Research at Amherst College, and contributed to fundraising efforts at Bennington College in various capacities, including as Manager of Research and Director of Advancement Operations.

I earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and have taken master’s degree courses in public policy and management through the Centre for Financial and Management Studies at the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies. I completed the Foundation Center’s Online Proposal Writing Course.

I also am Board President with the Charlemont Historical Society and previously was a board member with the Mary Lyon Foundation, a local education foundation, and Mohawk Trail Concerts, which organizes chamber music concerts in western Massachusetts.
